About:
The goal of Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition is to stimulate students to develop skills for effectively communicating their research in language appropriate for a non-specialist audience.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a Ph.D. student in the College of Engineering.
- Applicant must submit an abstract
- Applicant must submit their C.V.
Prizes awarded for various accolades

Timeline and Important Dates
Registration
- Registration Deadline: 11:59pm, Jan. 22, 2025
Preliminary round:
- Eligibility: Applicant must be a Ph.D. student in the College of Engineering.
- Date and Time: February 12 & February 13 from 3-5 pm.
- Where: Live sessions via Zoom (link will be sent out to participants)
Final round:
- Finalists Announced: Feb. 20th
- Eligibility: Selected participants from the preliminary round.
- Date and Time: February 27 from 1-7 pm.
- Where: Pierpont East Conference Room.
